Fort Wayne Area Duplicate
Bridge Directors
The Fort Wayne area has excellent ACBL certified bridge
directors available to conduct the various games that are held at the club. All
of the directors are independent contractors working for the clubs that host the
individual games. Below is a brief outline of the Fort Wayne area bridge
directors.
Jack Spring has a diversity of director experience and also has
many years of local club and tournament experience. Jack performs the director
duties for the Tuesday afternoon games and shares the Monday and Thursday evening director duties with Mike Bonahoom.

Don Ferguson is an ACBL certified director. After a recent director illness he was rushed into service. Don
has many years of bridge experience and also provides technical and other
assistance to his wife Rose when she is teaching bridge classes. Don handles the
director duties for the Saturday evening games.

Mike Bonahoom has years of experience as a bridge player,
teacher and director has made substantial contributions to the betterment of
bridge in the Fort Wayne area. Mike directs the Wednesday afternoon invitational
and open games, Saturday afternoon game, and shares the director duties for the Monday and Thursday evening games with Jack
Spring.

Dick
and LaVerne Petersen are co-managers and co-directors of the Swindell bridge
club, which meets every Tuesday evening for an open stratified game. Dick and
Laverne are both Bronze Life Masters, certified ACBL directors, and certified
ACBL teachers. ( LaVerne has more master points than Dick)(Don't tell him).

Emory
Jeffers is the newest director in the FWDBC. He is working on his Life Master
certificate. He is both an ACBL certified director and an ACBL certified
teacher. He is currently assisting Dick and LaVerne on Tuesday nights. He is
currently teaching beginner lessons at the IPFW extension.

Please remember the directors have as
much fun refereeing disputes as you have participating in the disputes; only their
"fun" is multiplied by the number of troublesome players and tables in the session.
Thanks
ladies and gentlemen for rendering your services to the players at the Fort
Wayne Duplicate Bridge Club.
